Night One... Welcome to Hedgehog-warts everyone 🦔

Hello! I'm Alex, and this little corner of the internet is dedicated to a rather special hedgehog who has completely won me over.

It all started with a single visitor to my garden.

I was minding my own business when, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted something making its way across the grass.

A hedgehog.

It had been YEARS since I’d seen one, and there she was, right in my garden!

I sat and watched her for about 15 minutes, completely fascinated, while frantically wondering what on earth I could feed her. A quick Google search suggested hard-boiled egg, so whilst she was busy hunting for worms, I was busy boiling an egg.

I carefully placed it on a plate outside for her, then left her in peace. I didn’t want to disturb her.

By morning, the egg was gone.

And that was it... the beginning of a little garden friendship.

There are updates coming thick and fast at the moment, because this story has already moved on to Night 12!

So this is where we begin...

Here is the very first picture I took of her on that first night. It was around 8:30pm, and the evenings are still quite light at the moment. I'm assuming she's a she (based on her timings and a little help from Google!), but who knows!?Maybe she’ll reveal more about herself over time. 🦔
